Welcome
Hola and welcome to the desert. We are delighted to host you at 71798 San Gorgonio Rd — Vintage '56, a Krisel/Alexander midcentury home built in 1956 and completely renovated in 2018. Rather than a generic corporate rental, we welcome you to our home, furnished with love and care to reflect the taste of the architect and naturalist owners. A wall of glass opens onto the original kidney-shaped pool in the private backyard, the open interior features a well-equipped chef's kitchen, and there's a private den that's ideal for remote work. You're centrally located in Magnesia Falls Cove, so everything in the Coachella Valley is just minutes away. You are here for vacation, so please relax and have a great time. There are no silly questions, so reach out anytime if you want help operating something or you would like recommendations for great places to eat and awesome things to do.
Good to Know
- Fireplace is decorative only.
- Please do NOT use the oven's self-cleaning feature — it will melt the motherboard, and the repair is a minimum of $500.
- The vintage plastic cups can't go in the dishwasher; they will melt.
- Please close the shade umbrella when not in use — high winds can come up suddenly, pull it from its stand, and break it.
- The living room's large sliding-door shade is electronic, controlled by a small white remote. Every other shade in the house is manual.
- There are two garage door openers — one stays in your car, the other lives in the top drawer nearest the front door.
- There's a Levoit air purifier on the kitchen counter — we suggest using it while cooking, since there's no exhaust fan above the cooktop.
- Dogs are welcome on the bed or sofa — please use one of the dog sheets from the top shelf of the linen closet.
- Pool floats are in the garage. Pool towels are in the bottom of the linen closet across from the back bedroom.
